COUGH UP THE KEY - August 27, 2012
by Jon & Jolene Hamill
Hurricane Isaac is making landfall even as we write. Even the Republican Convention is having to make way for Isaac!
Isaac was the promised child of Abraham and heir to the generational covenant God made concerning both his land and offspring. Through Isaac, God is being intentionally disruptive at this time.
Isaac is truly a sign in the earth, from the heart of God. Depending on your theology or your political persuasion, you may perceive the storm as a judgment from God. However, Isaac is bringing the restoration of rain to a very parched land. Within Isaac’s might is the end of drought.
Cough Up the Key
Yesterday the Holy Spirit gave me an important vision. While worshiping at the Gate DC, I saw a high-level government leader being wrestled to the ground by the Lord. The wrestling continued until this leader coughed up a key. I knew the key had to do with authority over our nation.
This leader was not surprised by the Lord’s ability to wrestle him to the ground. It seemed this had occurred before. But by the look on his face, he was truly surprised and terrified that God was able to make him cough up the key.
Then the Holy Spirit spoke, “I will punish Bel in Babylon.” This was a direct reference to Jeremiah 51:44: “I will punish Bel in Babylon, and will make what he has swallowed come out of his mouth. The nations will no longer stream to him. The wall of Babylon has fallen!”
“Key” Prophecies Follow
What was interesting was how the worship at the Gate DC began to declare what I had just seen. The Holy Spirit spoke to their worship leader about “breaking down the gates of bronze.” A prophet followed up on this with a word about the Cyrus anointing to “open double doors.” Another prophetic friend prophesied about the “Key of David” in a word to Jason Hershey.
Let me be clear that nobody knew of the vision I had just seen except for Jolene. I did not even mention it during the ministry time, except to prophesy that God is making those who are resisting His covenant purposes “cough up the key.”
Why the Wrestling?
I do feel that what I saw was “real-time” and will be played out in the season we are entering into. I do not completely understand what it means. But could it be that through drought, storms, economic instability, etc., God is challenging our defiance of His covenant purposes in our land and world? Is He wrestling us to the ground to cause us to surrender the key He entrusted to us?
Another good question is, where have we so aligned with Bel, or Baal, that God is having to wrestle us in order to rescue His key from the enemy’s realm?
The Call: Align with His Covenant
Beloved, we know by now that no political party has the capacity to save our nation. We also know that the governmental hand of God has been released for the benefit of His people. Those who align with His covenant - confirmed to Abraham with a burning lamp, ratified forever through the shed blood of Jesus Christ - will eternally advance. Those who align with false illumination, who rely on covenants with darkness to cover evil deeds, will eventually fall.
Isaac, the offspring of Abraham, is calling again in a very disruptive way. And now God is wrestling. Governmental leaders in the body of Christ and the nation - we either need to align with His covenant, or cough up the key.

Turn your hearts to the children - teach the laws of God!
Prayer for the Education Mountain
by Kitty Shipshock
Deuteronomy 4-9: 4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates.
The words of Deuteronomy to this generation seem to be obscured. We have removed prayer, the 10 Commandments, even the mention of God's name from schools. The mandate was clear, the Commandments of the Lord God were to be written in the hearts of our children. Our public schools and many of our private schools fail to recognize the importance of that mandate. Our children spend most of their time in our educational system gaining knowledge that excludes the presence of our Lord. We are raising a generation that does not know God, His laws or His heart.
As the school year comes to an end, we may be tempted to ignore the importance of education for the next 3 months. However, the generation that is coming behind us needs to know the truth of the living God.
I am asking you, his blood covered sons of God, to turn your hearts towards the children. I am asking you as mothers and fathers of the faith to take seriously the Malachi mandate and welcome the spirit of Elijah to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children. This summer as you drive by your schools cry out to the Lord for his mercy on our education system. Let's make this summer a time of seeking Father for the minds, hearts, and souls of those children he has entrusted to our nation.
Heavenly father, we come before you boldly this day, into your throne room, where we know your scepter is always extended towards us. We ask you, in the name and through the blood of Jesus, to cleanse our schools of all heresy. We ask you father to reveal to us the controlling spirits of our educational system. We ask you to give us wisdom, discernment and strategies for reclaiming every educational institution for the glory of God. We also ask that you will raise up people in the educational mountain to stand in intercession and awareness for our state's children. In Jesus name we proclaim victory for your kingdom in every school in our state.

Chicago 50 - Passover to Pentecost
CHICAGO 50
For 50 days between Passover and Pentecost James Nesbit of Prepare the Way Ministries and his team will be worshipping in Chicago in response to a call from the Lord to release it's eternal divine destiny. Their assignment is to remove the curse of being the most corrupt city in the nation to unlocking the giftings the Lord has given it of being an exhorter city which has the grace to proclaim to the earth, "THERE IS NO KING, BUT KING JESUS!" In a study done by the University of Illinois in Chicago, Department of Political Science and the University of Illinois Institute of Government and Public Affairs, Chicago was found to be the most corrupt city in the nation and Illinois, the 3rd most corrupt state in the nation. Why have they earned this unfortunate title? Unlike other cities in America, Chicago has a generational gang connection with grandfathers, fathers and sons being members of the same gang.
The corruption among public officials has cost the city over 500 million dollars. The corruption has included: police brutality, bogus contracts, bribes, theft and ghost pay rolling, fraud, tax evasion, racketeering and extortion just to name a few. Between 1976 to 2010, 1531 public employees were convicted of public corruption. Since the 1970's, 4 of the 7 governors and 31 members of the chicago City Council have been convicted of corruption. No other state can match this. Since 1976, 1828 elected officials, appointees, government employees and private individuals have been convicted of public corruption. www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/15/chicago-most-corrupt-city
On Monday, April 9th, we will once again join together as a nation of blood-redeemed intercessors as we lay the axe to the root of corruption. We will use this corrupt gate in the city of Chicago to deal with corruption throughout the nation. As one, we will address corruption by appropriating the blood-bought victory of the cross to release the light and sound of Yahweh into the structures of darkness that have ruled in and from Chicago. Intercession will begin on the 9th of April with Delaware, the first state in the nation and run for 50 days, ending with Hawaii on May 28th. Minnesota's day to carry the torch and lead the intercession is May 10th.
God has called James to gather the brass instruments to break the brass heavens over Chicago. He is calling for the army of brass instruments to come forth from every state and form the army of God that will release the sound of heaven and break through this brass heaven. They are believing for a Jubilee for the families held captive in this structure of darkness. Beginning on Monday evening, April 9th at 9:30 p.m. CDT, nightly Chicago 50 Prayer Conference Calls will begin for the 50 days of "divine occupation". Each night the fire baton of intercession will be passed to the next state. The book, "Declaration of Dependence - How to Heal our Nation Through Prayer" will be used for the daily intercession focus. This is the same book we used during the 51 Days of Reformation Intercession in the District of Christ and Philadelphia. It can be purchased by going to www.drmarlenemcmillan.com or by going to the Chicago 50 website, www.chicago50.com The phone number for the nightly calls is 760 569-7676, access code 989326#. Preparing for Martial Law?
Submitted by Vicki Nohrden
State Prayer Coordinator
California Prayer Network
Source: www.survivalcentral.net
The following excerpt comes from an article originally published by The Examiner:
“On March 16th, President Obama signed a new Executive Order which expands upon a prior order issued in 1950 for Disaster Preparedness, and gives the office of the President complete control over all the resources in the United States in times of war or emergency.
“Executive Orders created for national defense and national preparedness are not new in American history, but in each instance they brought about a Constitutional crisis that nearly led standing Presidents to hold dictatorial power over the citizenry. During the Civil War, President Lincoln halted freedom of speech and freedom of the press, while at the same time revoking Habeas Corpus and the right to a fair trial under the sixth amendment. During World War I, when Congress refused to grant Woodrow Wilson extended power over resources to help the war effort, he invoked an Executive Order which allowed him complete control over businesses, industry, transportation, food, and other economic policies.
“In both cases, it was only after the death of each President that full Constitutional powers were restored to the citizens of the United States.
“The economy of the United States is based on the free flow of resources, energy, and the rights of consumers to buy and sell as they see fit. Any interference in this economic process quickly leads to shortages, rising prices, and civil unrest. The purpose of President Obama signing this new Executive Order is yet unclear, however, it may coincide with information coming out of Israel yesterday that plans for a tactical or strategic strike on Iran are accelerating. Oil prices in Europe rose over $3 a barrel for Brent crude after the Israeli actions, and US oil prices rose $2 for WTI.
“The Obama administration appears to be preparing for a long drawn out war in the Middle East, or at the very least, an expected crisis that will require the need to override Constitutional authority and claim dominion over all resources in the United States under the guise of national defense. With the rise in Disaster Preparedness growing for both individuals and states leading up to yesterday’s Executive Order, the mood of the nation points strongly towards some event or disaster that will require massive preparations on a national as well as local scale.” (1)

Traditional Buddhist sand mandala to be created at U of M Crookston, MN - April 4 - 11, 2012
Crookston —
The creation and destruction of a sand mandala will bring an ancient Tibetan Buddhist tradition to the University of Minnesota, Crookston in April. Wongdue Sangbo Gurung, a Buddhist monk from Nepal, will spend several days in the creation of the mandala leading up to the final dinner in the International Dinner Series on Wednesday, April 11. The opening ceremony will be held on Wednesday, April 4 at 11 a.m. in the Prairie Room, Sargeant Student Center. This ceremony will also provide an opportunity for discussion with Gurung. The campus and the community are welcome to visit often to view the work in progress. The closing ceremony will follow the final International Dinner on April 11.
The sand mandala, involves the creation of an elaborate geometric design using colored sand and working from the design’s center to the outer edges. The sand is applied until the desired pattern is achieved in intricate detail. When completed, the mandala is much more than a work of art and reflects the deeply held Buddhist belief in the fleeting nature of the material world. The destruction of the sand mandala is also ceremonial and materials used in its creation are released back into nature and never used more than once.
Sand mandalas are part of the ancient Tibetan Buddhism tradition. Sand mandalas are always set up to look like a palace with four gates pointed in the four directions. In the center of the mandala is the greater being, making it a three dimensional picture. The message of the sand mandala is that all living beings want to be happy and for that they need inner peace. On April 4, Wongdue Sangbo Gurung invites people to rid themselves of all the negative feelings and to discover inner peace.
Wongdue Sangbo Gurung is an uncle to Yangchen Gurung, a senior business management major from Mustang, Nepal. He was the former principal of the monastic school in Lo-manthang, the capital of the small Tibet-buddhist kingdom of Mustang, which now belongs to Nepal. The school was built in 1994 to try to keep their identity and their Tibetan culture alive. There are some 70 young monks above the age of 8 attending the school. Gurung is currently pursuing education in Tibetan Buddhism in International Buddhist Academy (IBA) in Kathmandu, Nepal. He has traveled to Germany, Switzerland, and Thailand to demonstrate sand mandala paintings.

2011 Lightening Strike near Ely and still the fire is burning (March 15, 2012)
Pagami Creek Fire continues to burn!
Minnesota Boundary Waters
Marcia Todd
Prayer Coordinator for Lake County
Minnesota Apostolic Prayer Network
On August 18, 2011 a lightening strike started a fire 13 miles east of Ely in NE Minnesota, in the area otherwise known as Minnesota's Arrowhead. Due to lack of precipitation and high winds, on Monday, September 12, 2011, the fire ran an unprecedented 16 miles in a few hours. As the Pagami Creek Fire continued to burn in the low humidity and high temperatures, often with winds, it became the biggest fire in Minnesota in 93 years burning over 92,600 acres.
It was hoped that the typical significant snowfall for NE Minnesota would be enough to put the fire out, but this is not the case. As of March 14, 2012, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has reported that, with aerial surveillance, the fire is still seen burning in peat bogs.
Now, in the winter of 2011-2012, the Arrowhead region is significantly behind in winter snowfall and is having record breaking high temperatures in March. This unusual weather is prematurely melting the little snow that did fall. The forecast temperatures for the coming month are also higher than normal and this will dry out the fuel for fires in the forest. A number of years ago there was a wind storm that blew down significant portions of forest that are now fuel for a current fire. Last fall there was great concern that the fire could easily and quickly move through a portion of this blown down area north into Canada, which is why there was Canadian help with firefighting aircraft. This is also important for there are restrictions for fighting fire in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area where much of the Pagami Fire burned. The fire season has now begun in NE Minnesota and the MN DNR is predicting that 2012 will be a severe fire season.
For the size and scope of the fire, there were no human fatalities, few injuries and no damage to homes. However, many people were either evacuated or prepared to evacuate for a period of at least a couple of weeks. During the time of the Pagami Creek Fire, the economics of the region struggled. Loggers and others who make their living in the woods were unable to get to work as the roads were blocked for many miles. The Arrowhead Region also has a high economic dependency on tourism. During the time the fire burned, many resorts and other industries involving tourism also struggled. The lack of snow this winter has kept business at low levels for those who depend on people coming to our region to enjoy snow related activities. The early spring-like weather we are experiencing also creates further issues for local businesses who depend on cold and snow for their livelihood.
Prayer for precipitation and financial recovery for the Arrowhead Region is greatly needed and very much appreciated.

Duluth, MN (Northlands NewsCenter)
Officials at the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources say aerial surveillance shows fire is still burning in areas of the Pagami Creek Fire. These hot spots are in the extensive BWCA peat bogs. This news comes the same day that fire season officially begins in the northland.
On a beautiful March Day in the Twin-Ports smoker Chasers and foresters for the Minnesota DNR are getting ready to do battle in another season of fighting fires. But it's not your average fire season that the men and women of the Minnesota DNR are training for this year because 2012 is expected to be one for the record books. A winter drought, unusually high temperatures in March, and a smoldering, sleeping giant in the Boundary Waters are all part of a recipe for a severe fire season in the arrowhead.
Officials say it's a fire season that's continued throughout the winter. "It never actually quit. There were fire fighters fighting in December and January and again in February and March" In the next month, with average precipitation, high temperatures will dry out fuel setting the stage for more fire.
But, the DNR is ready. They're fully staffed and preparing to send out crews and gear out for an early start.
Crews are expected to be sent south of Duluth first where to snow has already melted.
News Center meteorologists are predicting average precipitation with higher than average temperatures for the next month.
